For years now, President Obama, whatever his connections to the faith that calls for the deaths of infidels are, has hyped the reasonable nature of Islam.

For example, he’s called the Muslim call to prayer “the sweetest sound I know” and has expressed “our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world, including in my own country.”

He’s claimed, “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance” and “has always been part of America.”

He quickly acknowledges “civilization’s debt to Islam.” That’s because “Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education.”

Obama repeatedly has stated he’s a Christian, after spending years listening to a radical race-based agenda in a Chicago church. Fox News talk show host Bill O’Reilly, commenting on a photograph of Obama in Muslim dress, said that reveals Obama’s “deep emotional ties” to Islam, the religion of his father and stepfather.

“There is no question the Obama administration’s greatest failure is allowing the Islamic terror group ISIS to run wild, murdering thousands of innocent people all over the world, including many Muslims,” O’Reilly said. “Mr. Obama has never, never acknowledged that mistake, nor does he define the ISIS threat accurately.

“That group is killing innocent people in order to impose a radical version of Islam on the world. The jihad is solely based on theology, perverted as it may be.”

But there’s been one issue on which Obama hasn’t really elaborated: Islam’s treatment of women. And a new report from the Gatestone Institute this week details why that position would be indefensible.

‘It is we who blow ourselves up. It is we who blow up others’

Saudi-TV-Host-nadine-al-budair-600

A female news anchor in Saudi Arabia blasted fellow Arabs for terrorism in a video clip that’s going viral.

Saudi columnist and television anchor Nadine Al-Budair harshly criticized Muslims in the Arab world as “hypocrites” for failing to admit terrorism does not represent their faith. She said it was time for Muslims to own up to elements of their faith that encourage followers to commit terrorist attacks.

The Islamic State and Islam

October 17, 2014   |  By Raymond Ibrahim

quran

“Absolutely nothing” is the answer almost every Western politician gives.   For example, U.S. President Obama adamantly stated in a televised speech that the Islamic State “is not Islamic.”

This begs the question: How does one determine what is—and is not—Islamic?

The traditional answer, the Islamic answer, has been as follows:

Islamic State’s Ancient Jihadi Tactics ‘Shock’ the West

From FrontPage Magazine

Thanks to the academics’ lies, the West must ever confront the jihad blindfolded and blindsided.

As Western politicians and other talking heads insist that the Islamic State (“ISIS”) has “nothing whatsoever to do with Islam,” not only does ISIS correctly implement Islamic law—whether by demanding jizya from subjugated Christians or by sexually enslaving “infidel” women—but even the “caliphate’s” arcane jihadi tactics belong to Islam.

Offended Muslim Syndrome & Self-Help Support Groups

From People’s Cube
Red Square     |     12/4/2007, 10:03 pm

Following the misery inflicted on Islam by a toy bear that ended up with calls for the execution of an English woman for blasphemy, more Muslims are stepping forward with stories of long-suppressed emotional trauma imposed on them by so-called reality.

This has led to the creation of support groups and social networks that help followers of the Prophet Mohammed cope with the agony of learning about life outside of their immediate environment, offering assistance with technical resources, practical guidance, and strategies for early intervention and punishment of those who offend Islam.

Turks Join 'Family-friendly' IS Group

ISTANBUL (AP) — The Islamic State group is run by religious zealots and marked by war, mass killings, crucifixions and beheadings.

But for a growing number of fundamentalist Muslim families, the group’s territory is home.

“Who says children here are unhappy?” said Asiya Ummi Abdullah, a 24-year-old Muslim convert who traveled to the group’s realm with her infant son last month. She said that living under Shariah, the Islamic legal code, means the boy’s spiritual life is secure.

“He will know God and live under his rules,” she said.

Who Edited the Tape?

As we reported in last night’s post about the imam’s prayer at the Vatican, there seems to be nothing controversial in the chanted Arabic in the prayer and that spoken in his subsequent remarks. However, a reader and commenter named ritamalik — who is a former Muslim and understands Arabic — tells us that a portion of the video has been edited out, and the omitted section included the verse asking Allah to grant victory over the infidels.

Terra Incognita: It’s time to define Islamism as a crime against humanity

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN  |  09/23/2013 21:46

The attacks at Nairobi, Kenya’s Westgate shopping mall follow a familiar pattern to other attacks that occurred in the last few days: in Pakistan, where 81 were killed in the bombing of a church, and in Nigeria where 159 people were slaughtered by Islamists near Maiduguri.

The media and political reactions also follow a neatly crafted script we have all become accustomed to.

First Islamist terrorists attack civilians, attempting to sort out the Muslims from the non-Muslims so as to kill only one group. There are the condemnations of “senseless acts of violence” and appeals for “calm and unity.” Then all is forgotten.

Those terrorists captured alive will be put on trial and perhaps executed. And life goes back to normal with the refrain, “terrorism will not prevail.” The problem is that this script misses a central facet of Islamist terrorism: We must stop treating it as a simple isolated crime; even the word “terrorism” has begun to downplay its actual horror; rather it must be defined as a worldwide crime against humanity.

When the al-Shabaab attack began in Kenya, witnesses related that Muslims were permitted to leave. “They came and said: ‘If you are Muslim, stand up. We’ve come to rescue you,’” Elijah Lamau told the BBC.
