Michelle Obama’s Misogyny Hypocrisy

First lady feigns disgust at Trump’s 11-year-old lewd comments, despite history of promoting rappers as role models

Michelle Obama put on a truly Oscar-worthy performance in New Hampshire Thursday afternoon, criticizing Donald Trump for a decade-old comment and insisting that defeating the GOP candidate is a moral imperative.

“I have to tell you that I can’t stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted. So while I’d love nothing more than to pretend like this isn’t happening, and to come out here and do my normal campaign speech, it would be dishonest and disingenuous to me to just move on to the next thing like this was all just a bad dream,” Obama said.

“The fact is that in this election, we have a candidate for president of the United States who, over the course of his lifetime and the course of this campaign, has said things about women that are so shocking, so demeaning that I simply will not repeat anything here today,” claimed the first lady.

“Last week, we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexually assaulting women. And I can’t believe that I’m saying that a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women,” she continued.

It is just a tad bit difficult to take Michelle Obama’s claim seriously that Trump’s misogyny has shaken her to her core, considering the utterly vile celebrities with whom she gladly and willingly associates — not to mention Bill Clinton.

Great Moments in Government, from Banning Bake Sales to Limiting Mistresses

International Liberty

Michelle Obama wants the federal government to tell us what kind of food to eat.

I actually wouldn’t object if she merely used a bully pulpit to encourage healthier eating. But the busy-body crowd in Washington has a hard time distinguishing between giving advice and engaging in coercion.

So we now have legislation that gives Washington the power to interfere with food in local schools.

But not everybody is rolling over, particularly when federal rules are coercing states into banning bake sales. The National Journal reports on growing resistance to this absurd example of nanny statism from Washington. Here are some excerpts.

…states are…fighting nutrition standards that would considerably alter one of the most sacred rituals of the American public school system: bake sales. Twelve states have established their own policies to circumvent regulations in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 that apply to “competitive snacks,” or any…

The vacation news comes amid the flood of illegal immigrants across the southwestern border, the continued terrorist attacks in Iraq and other major problems facing the country. But it also occurs after Congress is on recess.

“On Saturday, Aug. 9, the President and the First Lady will travel to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts,” a White House official said on background, according to the Martha’s Vineyard Times. “They will remain there until Sunday, Aug. 24, when they will return to Washington, D.C. There are no public events scheduled at this time and further details on travel will be released when they are available.”

The newspaper reported the first family will stay at a “secluded house” in the town of Chilmark. The home has a basketball court and pool.

The newspaper said this will likely be the home of Joanne Hubschman, citing neighbors who requested anonymity. The home has seven-bedrooms, nine-baths, 8,100-square-foot house and sits on a 10-acre lot. It’s assessed at more than $12 million, according to the Times. It has a total of 17 rooms in total, expansive water views of Vineyard Sound.
