Censoring Language as Offensive Violates the Constitution

American Thinker
By Michael Bargo, Jr. | 3 November 2016

The concept that language and actions should be censored or banned outright by public schools and public spaces because some persons may be offended violates the U.S. Constitution in many ways.

One, the most obvious one, is that it allows a tiny group of people to say they are offended and thereby censor the language of others. The First Amendment does not say that the freedom of speech can be infringed by somebody claiming to be offended by the exercise of someone else’s speech. This standard of personal feeling is not written anywhere into any right protected by the Constitution. Feelings are not relevant — they simply are not mentioned as variables that influence legislation. If they were, people should have the power to shut down government regulations because they were offended by them. But, curiously, those who promote using the concept of personal offense never speak of limiting government, only limiting the people.

Evidence of this is that we are told no matter how many people are offended by government mandates or Supreme Court decisions, such as same-sex marriage, the fact that people are offended doesn’t have any standing when standing in the way of the rights of others being expanded. The people can’t influence government on the basis of being personally offended, only government bureaucrats can use this strategy.

This leads into the second important Constitutional issue regarding the offensive language standard: the 14th Amendment. The 14th Amendment says that no state can pass a law that denies anyone equal protection. This means that a tiny group of people cannot have a right to censor language as offensive, and no one else. So far no one has explained, in constitutional terms; why one person, who claims to be offended, has the right to shut down the speech, clothing, or legal actions of everyone else.

Seattle Teachers Enforce Black Lives Matter Indoctrination

FrontPage Mag
October 17, 2016 | Matthew Vadum

A Maoist-style reeducation fest approaches in Seattle schools.

blm-tshirt
Thousands of taxpayer-supported Seattle teachers are planning to don Black Lives Matter t-shirts this week in public schools and force-feed left-wing propaganda to their students about race in an effort to draw attention to the systemic racism they imagine is embedded in the public education regime.

The shirts say “Black Lives Matter” and “We Stand Together,” which is almost identical in meaning to the Hillary Clinton campaign slogan “Standing Together.”

The Black Lives Matter cult is animated by a hatred of normal American values. Its members idolize convicted, unrepentant black militants and cop-killers Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu Jamal and have declared “war” on law enforcement. Its members openly call for police officers to be assassinated. Sympathizer Micah X. Johnson answered the call murdering five cops in cold blood during a Black Lives Matter rally in Dallas in July. Black Lives Matter, which is vehemently anti-white, ought to be designated a domestic terrorist organization for fomenting a war against police, critics say.

The October 19 event is being run by Social Equality Educators (SEA), a group of teachers within the Seattle Education Association (SEA), a local collective bargaining unit. A political faction, SEE runs candidates for offices in the SEA.

Black Lives Matter Infiltrating Public Schools

FrontPage Mag
October 18, 2016 | Joseph Klein

Teachers engage in week-long protest to promote a movement built on race hatred.

black_lives_matter_sign_minneapolis_protest

The toxic Black Lives Matter narrative is continuing to infiltrate our mainstream culture. It is even finding its way into our public schools. Case in point is the plan by about 1000 teachers in the Seattle public school system, with the strong backing of the school system administration, to wear “Black Lives Matter” T-shirts this week. Some of the educators’ t-shirts include a raised fist, not exactly a symbol of racial harmony and peaceful dialogue.

The participants in this solidarity “wear-in” also want a school curriculum that indoctrinates students to counter what one Black Lives Matter activist and Seattle high school teacher, Jesse Hagopian, called “institutional racism”and the “multiple oppressions that our kids face.” Hagopian opposes standardized testing as an example of such institutional racism.

The Seattle Education Association (SEA) Representative Assembly passed a resolution unanimously supporting the Black Lives Matter initiative. The SEA is a public teachers’ special interest organization. Its resolution stated that SEA will “endorse and participate in an action wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 with the intent of showing solidarity, promoting anti-racist practices in our schools, and creating dialogue in our schools and communities.”

The superintendent of schools also supports the demonstration of solidarity with Black Lives Matter on school premises.

The Seattle school system is not the bastion of “institutional racism” that Black Lives Matter and its supporters are making it out to be. Seattle is one of the most progressive cities in the nation. Its school district had passed a landmark “Ensuring Educational and Racial Equity Policy” in August of 2012, which called for the elimination of “the racial predictability and disproportionality in all aspects of education and its administration.” It also mandated the use of a Racial Equity Tool to ensure that “race be clearly called out and institutional and structural racism be addressed within our own organization.” The intent was to devise policies and curricula that close the “opportunity gap” holding students of color back.

Leaked emails show what Clinton said in public — and in private

The Blaze

Behind closed doors, Hillary Clinton adopted a rather more accommodating tone with Wall Street than she has on the campaign trail.

In private paid speeches to financial firms and interest groups, the Democratic presidential nominee comes off as a knowing insider, willing to cut backroom deals, embrace open trade and grant Wall Street a central role in crafting financial regulations, according to excerpts obtained last week through hacked campaign emails provided to WikiLeaks.

Compare that with her public remarks in the presidential race. For voters, Clinton has embraced the rhetoric of a class warrior: Higher taxes on the wealthy. Tougher rules for Wall Street. Empathy for the financial burdens of ordinary Americans.

The gap between her private and public remarks helps explain the relatively high levels of distrust that voters, including some of her own supporters, have expressed about the former secretary of state, New York senator and presidential spouse. Privately, to audiences at Goldman Sachs and others, Clinton expressed a philosophy that in some ways clashes with the progressive vision she has articulated while campaigning.

Who started this crap?

‘Ze, zem and zyr’ — today’s language insanity
By Linda Harvey | 4 October 2016

funny-demotivation-p-126

“Ze walks with me and ze talks with me, and ze tells me I am zyr own …”

Welcome to favorite hymns as they might be revised by Princeton, the University of Michigan and the diabolical American left.

Who knew the power of pronouns? At first glance, they seem innocuous.

But when oppression begins to supplant authentic justice, one of the first symptoms is the breakdown of ordinary language. George Orwell warned us; now America stinks from the rotten rhetorical fruit of decaying, toxic values.

It’s heartbreaking to say, but the smell of death surrounds us.

From “negative rhetoric about Islam,” and accusations of “hate speech” against homosexuality, revealing reality is the current great offense. New meanings for old terms have become the weapons to deliver fake justice and the rallying cries to rationalize sexual license, lawlessness, theft, revenge – you name it.

Feminists advocate the “reproductive rights” of other women to kill their children. “Sexual orientation” is the civilized policy term for men who prefer anal sex with other men, or women whose idea of a grand sexual experience involves plastic penises with other women instead of real male organs with real males.

And if you object, you are the problem. Increasingly your fair-minded, virtue-seeking, justice-exalting Christian life is probably expendable. Does the future include Planned Parenthood-type clinics for conservative believers? Will we be escorted to enter such “clinics” and never exit?

Is there a polite term for “Auschwitz”?

Oh, surely you are exaggerating, some will protest. After all, many recent examples seem on the surface to be just more left-wing silliness.

‘After School Satan’ Could Be Coming to Your Kids’ Elementary School

The Satanic Temple is going after your children. A new after school program called “After School Satan” will launch across the country this year.

But the program isn’t about worshipping Lucifer. In fact, the ironically named Satanic Temple doesn’t even believe in his existence. As Doug Mesner, the Temple’s co-founder, explained, “Satan” is a “metaphorical construct” intended to represent rejection of all forms of tyranny over the human mind.

“We think it’s important for kids to be able to see multiple points of view, to reason things through, to have empathy and feelings of benevolence for their fellow human beings,” the Temple’s Utah chapter head, who goes by the name Chalice Blythe, told The Washington Post.

The curriculum emphasizes reasoning and social skills, according to the Post. The Temple says meetings will include a healthy snack, a literature lesson, creative learning activities, a science lesson, puzzle solving, and an art project.

The Satanic Temple won’t enroll your child without your permission —each child must have a signed parental permission slip to attend. There will be clubs in Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Pensacola, FL; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle, WA; Springfield, MO; Tucson, AZ; and Washington, DC.

Despite its entirely secular focus, the Satanic Temple framed its new project in opposition to “Good News Clubs,” a Christian evangelical program that traces back to 1937.

Birth of a hate movement

WND

Warning to whites: Avoid black people. Your life may be at risk.

Whites are under attack like no other time in history. It’s about to get worse.

More than 100 years ago, President Woodrow Wilson screened a movie in the White House, “The Birth of a Nation,” originally called “The Clansmen.” Historian Carol Swain told Dinesh D’Souza in his latest documentary that the film inspired a resurgence of membership in the Ku Klux Klan.

Today, another American president has brought a worse hate movement to the White House: Black Lives Matter. And this past Friday, another hate-inspired propaganda movie with the same name, “The Birth of a Nation,” was released. It’s evil enough to stir black anger to new levels of violence against whites.

If you don’t already know about rampant black-on-white crime (rape, robbery, murder and atrocious assaults), check the research of Colin Flaherty, Heather Mac Donald and Jared Taylor.

Yet if whites even hint about the truth of black moral degradation, they get suspended, fired or have their basketball team taken away – and they’re forced to apologize. This injustice strikes fear and anger in whites.

Blacks are the most violent people in America, all the more in interracial attacks. But the wicked amplify and applaud black anger as though they’re “victims.”

I cannot think of anything more evil than to justify anger.

Whites, watch your backs; keep your wits about you. Stay out of black areas. Avoid black people on public transportation. Don’t walk alone at night. Don’t be a target. And don’t think you’re tough.

Trump Taxes | Media hypocrisy and what Hillary Clinton didn’t tell you

Views Ahead Of The First Presidential Debate At Hofstra University

Media hypocrisy ‘laid bare’ over Trump taxes

By Bob Unruh | 3 October 2016

Did you hear about the presidential candidate who used a provision of the U.S. tax code that allows for a reduction of tax liabilities due to a net loss?

It was Hillary Clinton, whose 2015 tax forms show a “net long-term capital (loss)” of $699,540.

Oh, yes, Donald Trump did it, too, though on a much larger scale because of the size of his business.

So, both candidates did more or less the same thing. But what were the weekend headlines after the New York Times obtained and published Trump’s documents?

“Donald Trump and his allies struggle to move past tax revelation,” from the Times.

“Why Donald Trump’s new tax revelations are so damaging,” from MSNBC.

“Donald Trump can’t shut down New York Times tax-leak showing he lost nearly $1 billion in 1995,” from the Daily Beast.

“Tax troubles threaten Trump as election day nears,” from the Los Angeles Times.

What Clinton didn’t tell you about Trump’s taxes

By Devvy Kidd | 3 October 2016

During the Sept. 26, 2016, debate, Hillary Clinton blasted Donald Trump for not paying income taxes! He doesn’t support our troops! Not to be outdone, The Donald immediately fired back, saying not paying taxes makes him smart. Oh, the firestorm that followed. Trump doesn’t pay his “fair share”! OK, let’s examine the federal “income” tax.

Laws for the IRS, aka the Gestapo, are written by lawyers for Congress critters. Many in Congress are lawyers, so they should understand what they vote on regarding regulations for any agency. Mrs. Clinton was a lawyer, so she, too, should be aware of what is covered in the IRC (Income Tax Code).

It should be noted the New York Times illegally obtained three pages of Trump’s 1995 personal tax returns – page one from a New York state resident income tax return, page one from a New Jersey nonresident tax return and page one from a Connecticut nonresident tax return. The big revelation by the Times involving 20-year-old documents isn’t quite as earth-shattering as the paper would like you to believe. Lawfully taken deductions can be complicated under the tax code.
